Problem: NOLS’s new donor mailer had been using the same design, a calendar, for years and the Development team was seeing a decline in returning donors.
Solution: Design a new donor mailer that increases user engagement and resonates with our target audience, NOLS alumni. I designed a new donor mailer that featured a fresh new food typography treatment and featured a tear-off recipe card of a classic NOLS recipe, backcountry pizza. As a result, this mailer helped NOLS receive over $40K in donations which was a 25% increase compared to the previous year’s mailer.
